Ingredients
- 1 cup semi-sweet dark chocolate chunks
- 1 cup milk chocolate chunks
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, beat together the softened butter, dark brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract; mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chunks and oats.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto lined baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
For an extra chewy cookie, slightly underbake them; they will continue to cook on the baking sheet after removal from the oven.
