Description
Deliciously soft and chewy chocolate chunk cookies inspired by Chick-fil-A, featuring dark brown sugar, oats, and honey.
Ingredients
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup honey
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the dark brown sugar, granulated sugar, and softened butter until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the oats and chocolate chunks, followed by the honey.
- Drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For added softness, underbake slightly and let the cookies finish cooking on the baking sheet.
