Description

Deliciously soft and chewy chocolate chunk cookies inspired by Chick-fil-A, featuring dark brown sugar, oats, and honey.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the dark brown sugar, granulated sugar, and softened butter until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in the oats and chocolate chunks, followed by the honey.
  6. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For added softness, underbake slightly and let the cookies finish cooking on the baking sheet.
