A delightful twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, the Chicken Philly features tender chicken, sautéed vegetables, and melted cheese, all nestled in a soft hoagie roll.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced or shredded
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 slices provolone cheese (or cheese of choice)
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until tender and no longer pink.
- Add sliced bell peppers and onions to the skillet. Sauté until vegetables are soft but still crunchy.
- Layer provolone cheese over the chicken and veggies, allowing it to melt.
- Toast hoagie rolls lightly and load them with the cheesy chicken and vegetable mixture.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
