Description

Explore the journey of Nothing Bundt Cakes, from a home-based operation to a national bakery franchise known for its delicious Bundt cakes and community connections.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (for Chocolate Chocolate Chip cake)
  • 1 cup lemon zest (for Lemon cake)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the sour cream and vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. If making Chocolate Chocolate Chip cake, fold in the chocolate chips. For Lemon cake, add the lemon zest.
  8. Pour the batter into a prepared Bundt pan and bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then invert onto a plate to cool completely.
  10. Frost with cream cheese frosting before serving.

Notes

Ensure the bundt pan is well greased to prevent sticking. Experiment with different flavors by adding fruit or spices.
